A LITTLE HISTORY

Mesclun was invented by monks from the Cimiez monastery (the Franciscan Fathers) in Nice

They sowed a mixture of seeds, mesclun, by hand. The custom was to offer the plants they split and took to the poor.

an espourtoula (a rattan basket with a handle in the shape of an upside-down hat).

Plain Mesclun: On July 10, 1924, in Paris, Philippe Tiranty and Paul Gordeaux, meeting with many friends at the Cochon d'Or (a famous restaurant in La Villette), decided to create the Nice Friendship Center, and to call it Lou Mesclun, as its stele reproduced below recalls.

For these comedians and humanists, this expression meant “true living together”.
Today, mesclun salad is featured on the menu of gourmet restaurants around the world.

Personally, I grow over 20 different varieties of heirloom lettuce from the spring season and even the winter season outdoors.

So you want to discover a Mesclun discovery at Minda. Treat yourself :)

I guarantee they will be delicious with magnificent colors.
