Antioxidant properties: In addition to vitamin C, balsam contains other beneficial antioxidants, such as polyphenols, which help protect cells from oxidative damage and support overall health.
Antibacterial Properties: Some studies suggest that balsam fir may have antibacterial properties, making it a potential natural remedy for fighting bacterial infections and supporting immune health.
Expectorant effect: Balsam fir tea is traditionally used to relieve respiratory conditions such as coughs, colds, bronchitis and respiratory tract congestion. Its expectorant properties can help clear the airways by facilitating the expulsion of mucus.

How to use
Preparing Herbal Tea: Herbal tea is a light herbal infusion, usually prepared with delicate leaves, flowers or seeds.
1 to 2 teaspoons dried herbs (or 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh herbs)
1 cup (250 ml) hot water
Heat the water: Heat the water until it is hot but not boiling (about 90-95°C or 194-203°F).
Infuse the herbs: Place the herbs in a cup or teapot. Pour the hot water over the herbs.
Let it steep: Cover the cup or teapot to retain the aromas.
Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on desired strength. Longer infusions can extract more flavor and benefits, but also become more bitter.
Filter:
Use a strainer to remove the herbs and you can drink with the herbs.
Enjoy:
Drink the herbal tea hot. You can add Anokian Nature honey or other flavorings to taste like lemon.
tips and tricks
Cold Brew:
- For a refreshing herbal tea, try cold brew. Place the herbs in cold water and let steep in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
Experiment with Plant Milks:
- Our herbal teas go well with plant-based milks (almond, coconut, oat) for a richer and creamier drink.
Using Leftover Herbs:
- Do not throw away infused herbs. They can be used as compost or to infuse a second time, although the infusion will be lighter.
You can make a decoction:
The hot or cold decoction, depending on your preference. You need 12 cups of cold water for 1 to 2 tablespoons of our Anokian Nature herbal teas. Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes over low heat.
